Founded in 30 May 1984, BARKO INTERNATIONAL, INC. commenced as a ship-manning agency for Japanese-owned commercial vessels on the worldwide trade route. Our mission is to provide safe and efficient services to satisfy our principals' needs at all times. We are geared to provide quality crewing services for the maritime industry in accordance with IMO, STCW ’78 as amended, ISM and ISO 9001:2008 standards.

Manning Agency
We offer full crew management service. Our office in Manila recruits, screens and selects seafarers to meet clients' specific needs. We manage manning programs, crew training and advancement programs, crew welfare programs, crew allotments, travel arrangements, medical examination, union relations, vessel operating budgets and accounts.
Shipping Agency
We supply seafarers to meet specific needs of our clients, owners and managers of international vessels of a variety of types.This includes bulk carriers, container vessels, general cargo vessels, tankers, and vehicle carriers.

We keep close communications with our principals and crew, being directly online 9 hours a day and 24 hours on call, to attend to their needs. We utilize current information technologies to ensure efficient communication and information exchange with our principals, business associates and partners.
